Indians have long been overrepresented as the victims of crime in Australia. The recent, but delayed, acceptance of the existence of a racist element in some of those incidents by the Foreign Minister Stephen Smith and the Prime Minister Kevin Rudd depicts the precarious situation faced by the Indian students thus far. While an end to this denialism is a positive step forward, strong and immediate steps should be mandated to eliminate the furtherance of the injustice. Support the campaign against the racial violence against the Indian students in Australia. Sign up the petition to the Australian Ambassador to USA demanding immediate stringent steps to stop hate crimes against the Indian students in Australia: http://www.petitiononline.com/racismno/petition.html Whereas the Indian media is over emotional of this issue, the Australian media is downplaying the gravity of the situation. And unfortunately, the western media is completely complacent. Join the facebook group to create an awareness of this racial injustice:
