FIA-Central Ohio
A 100% volunteer non-profit organization, FIA-Ohio was established in 1983 to bring together all of the Central Ohio Asian Indian Associations in existence at that time. The goal was to unite the various member organizations, as well as co-ordinate the cultural, educational, social, economic, and community affairs of people of Asian Indian origin in Central Ohio.
With the support of all the cultural organizations, and the growing Indian community, the Federation of Asian Indian Associations (FIA) defines the presence of the Indian community in Central Ohio. FIA works diligently to involve all generations of Indians in activities involving social and cultural exchange. There should be no cultural barrier to compete in this Land of Opportunity.

Goal
 Provide a place for Ohioans to get together in a fun and exciting atmosphere to appreciate the ways in which Asian Indians add to the diversity of our state. Achieve wide recognition of the contributions Asian Indians make through their many professional, religious, cultural, social, educational, and civic organizations. Provide an opportunity to the citizens of Ohio to experience Asian Indian culture, enjoy Indian cuisine, enjoy shopping, and experience the uniqueness of Indian heritage. Increase awareness of Indian culture and heritage to promote peace and harmony in the community through education.
 
 
India Festival is hosted by FIA, to create awareness about the Indian culture, adding to the cultural diversity of Ohio. The festival is a one of its kind event presented by Indian community annually bringing the diversity of Asian Indian culture with all its splendor and Indian entertainment to central Ohio. India festival attracts the largest gathering of the Indian community in a single event in Columbus from Ohio and surrounding states. The event is extremely popular among the Ohio locals in Columbus and surrounding areas attracting college students, faculties, health professionals, vendors from across the country, entertainers, artists, people interested in Indian culture, those seeking Indian style entertainment and ethnic artifacts. This event offers an excellent opportunity to businesses to increase exposure of their products and services to the diverse audience at India festival learn more.
The popularity and reach of India Festival continues to grow year after year; with the effort of the organizing team to continuously provide qual- ity entertainment and value to its sponsors. India festival showcases the best of traditional Indian folk dances and Bollywood entertainment by local kids, students, local and international professional artists. In addi- tion, the festival also brings an Indian shopping bazaar with ethnic clothes, jewelry, art and cuisine. A free Health Fair, art gallery, educational and travel information area.
